Below is a selection of research papers from a previous seminar, ‘Media Worlds: An Introduction to Discourse Analysis’, which drew on Critical Discourse Analysis and Discursive Psychology to investigate the media’s role in maintaining and changing power relations today, what media representations ‘do’ (what social activities they perform), and ways of analysing language/symbols to illuminate these processes.
